My Summer Vacation to Memphis

Graceland Too
Holly Springs, MS

It's about a 30 minute drive from Memphis to Holly Springs. When you get to Holly Springs ask ANYONE where Graceland Too is and they will chuckle and direct you there.

It was about 9PM when we got there, it was raining hard. It was dark and actually kinda creepy. The locals we met on Beale Street assured us that the owner, Paul McCloud, would let us in at anytime of the night. The locals told us that when they were in college they'd go there for something to do after the bars closed.

The door was finally answered by Paul McCloud, "The World's #1 Elvis Fan". For $5 each, Paul took Holly and I on a private and 100% natural 3 hour acid trip. We will never be the same. Visiting Paul McCloud and Graceland Too will change your life. I am not exaggerating. Not a bit.

Paul's house is filled.... no, really, i mean filled... with Elvis memorobilia. He has stories that he rattles off at 3600 words per minute. From the minute you walk in, until the minute you walk out you'll be immersed in a surreal Elvis sensory overload.

Paul says he only sleeps 3 hours per night (from 6-9AM). He told us that he is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Holly asked "Do you ever take a vacation?"

Paul replied "No way, you gotta do what you love".

Was it worth it?
If I had the money, i'd fly to Memphis JUST to see Graceland Too again. (if you go 3 times, you become a "lifetime member" and don't have to pay the $5 admission again).

I don't really understand why Holly does not share my dream to go back again someday.

Next:
It's almost time to fly home. But on the way out of town, we should take a half hour to....
