May 2004 The
Corner Pocket radio show plays and reviews Fanny Alger:
"In many respects, Fanny Alger is Skagit
Valleys answer to Californias Offspring. Both are exceptionally
talented bands with amazing sense of pop/punk. Both bury their tongues
deep within their check. Both have lead singers with attractive,
scratchy vocals. Both are really funny, often by design, but often
just by default.
I am excited to see Fanny Alger live. I imagine
I will have a kick-ass time dancing, throwing my fists in the air
and, heck, I just might chip in a buck when they sing getting
jiggy with it/Fanny Alger says/we got our hand out/put some money
in it
It is nice to hear some good-times
punk rock able to smile at itself and not so hell-bent on its own
hedonistic self-destruction. Very refreshing, and just in time for
Spring!"
