CREW

Pete Nelson (Drums, Percussion), a farmer by trade, once won 3rd prize at the county fair for 'The Biggest Hands'. His father, a wealthy Fir Island land Owner, taught Pete to sing and play guitar on the porch of their plantation mansion.

Pete's love for drinking and hitting things led him to start playing drums for local acid rock bands in the early 70's. In 1979, Pete was discovered by TV funnyman Jerry Steamer. Steamer and Pete quickly developed a friendship and Steamer promptly signed Pete to a ten year contract. Over those years pete redefined the 'punch line snare roll'.

It was in September of 1985 in Las Vegas, Nevada that Pete first met Matt Lessley.

Matt Lessley - (Guitar, vocals) started his recording carreer at the age of only 8 months old! Matt was hired in 1957 by the Winston Sound Company for a series of sound effects records called "Baby Noises".

After the success of "Baby Noises" Matt was plagued by numerous dismal failures. Finally, after 1960's experimental "Toddler Noises", the Winston Sound Company declared bankruptcy and Matt swore he would never record again.

Then in 1967 after a 7 year hiatus from the public eye, Matt won the hearts of millions as the first boy to play the lead in the Broadway musical "Annie." This timely performance gave way to numerous film offers, all of which Matt thankfully declined.

Through his teens, Matt worked as an intern in the University of Washington Biology Labs where he stumbled across a love for fungus & mold spores. His masters thesis "Lucielle" was originally a 675 page manuscript, documenting peculiar similarities between Washington State mushrooms and what Matt calls "Flying Saucer Pilots."

At age 18, Matt was forced to resign in disgrace after witnesses at a toga party say Matt "ingested six and a half years worth of scientific research and ran naked through the campus shouting obscenities."

Shane Gildnes (Bass, Vocals) - Was born November 1938 to Mormon parents in Salt Lake City, Utah. His father a High Preist and second counselor to the bishopric owned a pharmeceutical company in Salt Lake.

Shane's music carreer started early and developed at an accelerated rate due to the patience and diligence of all 3 of his mothers. Each mother taught him a seperate instrument, and by age 12, Shane was playing accordian for what some call the "heavier Mormon Tabernacle Choir records."

In 1973, Shane gave all of his money to Jim and Tammy Faye Baker and began traveling to sporting events with a rainbow wig. It was in 1986 through a mutual friend that Shane first met Chad Metcalf.

Chad Metcalf - (Vocals, guitar ) was born in July 1943 in downtown Mount Vernon to Hungarian immigrant parents. His father, a poor, blind piano mover taught Chad to play the piano by the age of 2 years old! At the age of six, Chad was signed on to the State of Washington's largest touring boys choir.

Over the years, Chad found himself to be one of the most popular attractions of the choir. It was no wonder. "I swear, Chad started Disco!!!!" says former choir member Brad Lease. "It was November, 1968. The choir was doing an exceptionally long tour that fall. It was very cold. Right before we were to go on stage, chad had to pee." Lease's eyes light up, "We were three quarters of the way through 'Shall We Gather At the River' when all of a sudden, chad busts loose with a sensational series of full body manipulations.

"And do you know who was in the audience that night?" Lease's eyes begin to burn like fire, "Mr. Barry Gibb."

Chad's popularity soon gave way to darker forces, and by the early 70's he was addicted to Country Music and screw-top wine.

After serving 25 of a 30 year sentence in Walla Walla for what has been called "The Largest Train heist ever", Chad has refocused his life. Now, most of his time involves promoting his band's new record and his auto-biography "up yours". Even with new found success, Chad still finds time for his old friends in downtown Mount Vernon.
